People like you have no respect for how hard average people work. You believe that others are here to serve you and then call them wanting a hand out when they just want to trade a day’s work for a living. Your Kind just expects theses people to wait your tables , teach your kids, empty your bed pans, and stand behind your cash register without health care or an income that affords it. These people subsidize YOU. Everyday in every way.
Can you imagine the new team of bureaucrats they will have to put into place to figure out who is eligible and who is not. Then they will have to crunch the real numbers of a person’s income against the cost of health care when they go to fine them and it’s gonna prove that the Elite are trying to force people out of money they don’t have. And the government that always fudges the unemployment numbers will have to come clean on those numbers too.
Oberman is on point. This bill as it is will do more harm to middle America than good. They should kill it.

Public option saves everyone money…Think about how much you pay for health insurance. Public plan you pay coverage and government set salaries. Private you pay coverage, unregulated salaries, marketing, profit margin, non necessary salaries, additional overhead. I’m not normally for anything socially ran, but when it’s ran by organizations that have a common interest in money and not YOUR WELL BEING then I’m for it. Also no one has a problem with VA hospitals.
Keith is still an Obama supporter. He’s just diappointed in his leadership on this issue. He’s not going to turn over a new leaf. We’ve seen Keith do this before when he was unhappy with Obama’s leadership on issues

I can’t believe there are people who think this country is setup for the kind of healthcare our govt is trying to shove down our throats. We are not! There is no balance in the American economy of who is working and who is not, who made good life choices and who didn’t. The ones who refuse to do their part in America are what makes it impossible for something like this to be effective without the ones who ARE doing their part paying out their ass for it.

@merrimac291 Health care should be paid for with taxes. This would cost far less than private insurance and everyone would be covered. For-profit health insurance and health care are not compatible.

Health care should be free and classless?
Well, it never will be. If the healthcare could truly be “free” we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. If it was possible to have the same quality healthcare with no increases in taxes, inflation, or the deficit and had the same waiting time, I’d be all for it. But that will never happen hence it isn’t “free”.
And healthcare will never be “classless”. The elite will always find ways around waiting in line like everyone else.
And it is the same for food as there are protective agencies governing the food & drugs that are on sale.

Just as all members of the society must pay tax if they are able all members should be entitled to good and effective healthcare if they need it.

This bill is a disgrace. The Republicans have no intention to vote for this thing, never have, never will. Even if they wrote it they wouldn’t vote for it.
Congress CAN NOT force me to buy insurance that won’t cover me when I need it. That is robbery and only proves that the Republicans are assholes for doing nothing but roadblocking, and the Democrats, especially the president are SPINELESS.
