    Over taxing: false
    Over regulating: false
    Over spending: true! (totally agree)

    Asking Big Govt…: true.

    Regarding sending jobs overseas: that is part of global economic growth. The innovator country moves on to newer tech, the underdeveloped countries get an economic boost. People must retrain for the new tech jobs; otherwise they defeat themselves. This is good.

    I have to disagree with your conclusion.
    Yes, countries are printing money on the drop of a dime and lending it — that is indeed a bad thing. Guns were not held to market participants’ heads as they invested in these booms which were destined to bust. They did so *willingly*.
    Let the idea that people *must* look before they leap – that they *must* research and be liable for the consequences of their decisions – let that idea become the norm and these boom/bust cycles will end.

  15. I don’t want to sound pessimistic but so far Obama is acting like he is a clone of Gorbachev. The same wrongs, the same behavior, the same agenda. And I have seen Gorbachev’s mistakes in first hand. Sorry if my opinion offends you.

    It has nothing to do with “that asshole Obama”. He probably got the same phone call from Deep Throat every president has gotten since the inception of the Federal Reserve.

    If the government could not borrow money on the drop of a dime from someone who can create it on the drop of a dime, this crisis would never have happened.
    There wouldn’t have been any of the severe booms and busts we’ve had. US economic history from Indepenance Day 1 would be a boring, straight line.

It is a bloated gigantic cancer all because of greed, & corruption. A bankrupt nation with a new 2010-2011 budget at 3.8 TRILLION and you know that number will only grow before 2011. This is what happens when you turn your country into a NANNY state asking big brother to solve all your problems.

I live here and problem has been the stupidity of car companies, extreme greed of unions, lack of educated people, corruption, bloated government, taxes and so forth. Detroit has never had a proper existence, even before the riots in 60s.
