I may be captain obvious here but, all currencies are based on the value the WORLD gives it, not only a nation.
When a country prints tens or hundreds of TRILLIONS of dollars towards debt obligations, ignoring any real or sound way to regain the health of the economy, it’s pretty much spells out the ULTIMATE doom of that currency.
Once everyone recognizes the true negative value of the currency … realizing that it transcends any solid future, seeing the collapse as inevitable, it’s over.
I agree. We are no where near hyperinflation. We have tripled the money supply in just a few years, so I guess that 100k home will cost you 300k, and your 5 dollar combo meal will cost 10-15. $8 gas sounds feasible.

Can someone define hyperinflation? Does it have to be Zimbabwe or Germany, etc? Or can it be a lot of inflation, but not necessarily a huge sprialing fall?
Cuz I can see, for example, $8/gallon gas of gasoline. Or $20 for a combo meal at the fast food joint–those would still mean a tremendous inflation rate.
But it’s hard for me to see this “wheelbarrow for a loaf of bread” scenario.
